HOUSE OF FOUR DESIGN STUDIO REVEAL - A LA SERENA & LILY

I'm so excited to start revealing the various spaces in my home! If you don't already know, my family sold our previous home in March 2020 (great timing, I know), with 7 days to move, no new house to live, and an uncertain future to look towards. I feel super blessed that despite the whirlwind year, my family found our dream location and dream gut remodel. The first space I needed to make sure was fully set up was my design studio since that's where all the magic happens! I was so fortunate that Serena & Lily partnered up with me to furnish our workspace.

It was really important to me and my team to have a space that was both functional and beautiful! Believe it or not, you can have both. Of course we cleaned up for our photoshoot, but on the day to day we are surrounded by beauty and inspiration to help us keep the creativity flowing.

The base of the room is the South Shore Rug in the color Oyster. It set the tone for the soothing and natural space we created. The piece I agonized over the most was the table since there are several beautiful options, but in the end I went with the Beach House table in Sunbleached Pine. I'm using this as a desk, but it's a fantastic table for kitchen nooks, dining rooms, and craft rooms alike!

Let's talk layout changes! We definitely needed a large built in to house files, project binders, office supplies, samples, printer, and much more! This built in certainly does the trick for us. In order to achieve this wall to wall storage, we made the decision to close up a single door on this wall. We had a pair of french doors out to the pool, so it was a no brainer. I'll attach before images below!

Now let's talk about the fun additions that we managed to make function for us! The Beaufort Tray is a major catchall for us in the office. We house pens, paper clips, pins for our inspiration board, and our current samples and papers we need to jolt our memories throughout the work day. The South Seas Bar Cart was the perfect size and setup to house styling items we'd like to use for client's homes and the occasional overflow of samples. I love this piece in the Natural color for my studio, but the Black color is fabulous in dining rooms and for holiday drink displays.

Maybe not everyone can relate, but we happen to have many Serena & Lily samples around us at all time. Their fabrics, wallpapers, and furnishings are our go to's for client projects when clients come to us for our California Neutral style that doesn't feel like a common Las Vegas space.

I hope you feel a little inspired to get your work space freshened up for the new year! Start planning now and you'll be happy you did. And keep an eye our for more reveals from my home. You're sure to spot more of my Serena & Lily favorites there!
